Two Brothers One Journey eBook Angela Conrad
Angela Conrad shares her story with a warm and compassionate voice. I love that her background is in special education! You really get the feeling that teaching people (especially parents) about autism by reaching out as an author is a way for her to educate and connect readers through knowledge. She explains the complexities of autism as well as what it's like to be the mom of two autistic young sons (on opposite ends of the spectrum!) in a way that's down to earth and easy to understand. As a long time follower of her blog this book really hits the spot as far as answering every question I have ever had. It almost reads like a journal entry. I am thankful for the opportunity to peer inside of her journey. Between the blog and now the book I know that Angela Conrad has reached so many parents! She succeeds in educating them and letting them know they're not alone. I wish Angela and the boys the best and can't wait for the next book!Product details

In this book, the author does an amazing job of educating the reader on autism while also inserting a genuine element from an important perspective - that of a mother. The personal stories from the author provide the reader with knowledge of realistic struggles which are resourceful everyone associated with autism.
Angela, a Mommy of 2 boys with autism on each end of the spectrum shares her story. It is a passionate, loving, gut wrenching life. She really gives you a personal insight into her world.
I happened onto this book at a local bookstore. With autism being more and more common today, it seems that almost all families are touched by it. I decided to give this book a go and it sucked me in from the beginning. The author tells the story of her two autistic boys from diagnosis to therapies and the struggles and joys that being a parent of autistic children brings. The book was great from beginning to end and is a real page turner.
I never thought I would be so incredibly thankful for reading a book on autism. I have 2 children neither of them have autism but I have worked with serveral individuals that were somewhere on the spectrum & have some friends that their children are on one end or the other, however I had absolutely no idea how life was at home for the family. Angela takes you right into her daily life & struggles with her boys. I could see them in my mind as I was reading. But what tugged at my heart the most is her determination to get her boys to church at all costs. She went to God with her pain & questions then came back & saw her blessings. I don't just feel I got an understanding on their daily life struggles & educated on autism I also read the most beautiful testimony. It's a must read!
This book is an absolute read for anyone who has an autistic child, anyone who has an autistic relative, or for anyone who knows someone with an autistic child. It is a very heartfelt, honest look into the life of a family dealing with the struggles of autism. The book has an educational element, which is intended to educate the reader as to the complex and often difficult life of both the family of someone with autism, as well as the autistic child himself. Its an eye opening read, and with the diagnosis of autism on the rise, I feel needs to be read by everyone. Very well written in a way that is easy comprehend and understand.
This is a great book for families with a child/ren recently diagnosed with autism. Having her own two boys on the spectrum, the author gives a very honest, but heartfelt, look into their daily lives. The book is split up into helpful categories that make it quite easy for the reader to find help and encouragement from a mother who has seen and dealt with it all. A must read for family members, friends and professionals close to an autism family. Thank you, Angela, for sharing your story. You are helping others and inspiring the rest.
I had been looking for people with similar situations as I am. I have a child on the spectrum and wanted to know that I'm not the only struggling like I am. I was browsing some books and saw this new release and the description sounded very much like something I would like. And boy was I right!!! Ms. Conrad proves what autism parents go through and she does it with such compassion and love her her two boys that it is so inspiring. If anyone is struggling with a child who has autism, this book lets you know you are not alone and there is help out there. This is your must read!
